This is a first piece of art pottery I remember purchasing. It has a copper metallic look to the glaze, and the ligher areas are just the clay color with a thin, clear over glaze I think. Almost certain it is European (probably West German). About 12 inches (30 cm) tall.
Based on clay color it might be Steuler Keramik or Carstens. If you collect German 20th century pottery, you know how hard it can be to pin them down. This is a very nicely made piece of pottery.
