This is an awesome piece of Beauce Pottery made to commemorate the 1967 World Expo in Montreal. It is done in a brown drip sort of glaze with the legend, 'Terres des Hommes' embossed around a circle of stick-figure people. 'Man and His World' and 'Montreal' are embossed underneath and the bottom rim is embossed with what looks like little animals.
The mug measures 5 1/4" tall by 4" in diameter and an overall width of 5 1/2" including the handle. The piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks but does have some crazing on the bottom.
