This is a very beautiful ~ and very important ~ piece of historical pottery made by Frankoma in Oklahoma. It is a trivet or wall hanging (I have the hardware to hang it) depicting the "Seals of Five Civilized Tribes of Indians in Oklahoma". There are five circles on the plates representing the seals of the Choctaw, Chickasaw, Cherokee, Seminole and Muskogee tribes.
The piece is done in what appears to be Frankoma's Desert Gold with a whitewash over it. The trivet measures 6 1/2" in diameter by 5/8" tall.
This piece is in excellent ~ looks unused ~ condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, scratches, etc.
