Hyalyn was a little-known pottery in North Carolina which was only in business for about 20 years or so, hence the rarity of this piece.
This is a nice-sized piece that makes quite a statement. Its footprint is a hexagon - six sides of beautiful Asian-inspired flowers on a simple, gold-trimmed base (it's all one piece) and below a simple gold-trimmed top.
This vase measures about 6 1/2" tall and about 6" in diameter.
It is marked "836 Hyalyn USA".
This piece is in wonderful condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
