Description:
|
Larger, 8", Moorcroft vase. Marked (impressed) Moorcroft and Made In England. In addition there is a WM, perhaps for William Moorcroft, hand painted in light green glaze. This may have been a ginger jar and had a lid at one time, but the only other example of this piece I could find, also had no lid. There is slight, unstained crazing visible in some of the lighter colors, otherwise like new. My research indicates this vase would date between 1918 and 1929.
