Description: I have posted this for a friend. Please note the painted bottom. It is about 8" tall. He is a knowlegable collector, and he and I have looked through the usual books. Either we both missed it, or we need some unusual books we don't have. If it can't be IDed, his next step is to remove the paint.

Thank you.

Hmmm. It's fired black slip. Can't be removed.

Owner adds: Glaze resembles Weller Frosted Matte. Curdles stand-up from surface unlike Haeger Geranium Leaf glazes. Heavy vase.

Could it be Roseville Early Carnelian or Early Rosecraft Blended? They did bottoms like that.
